it's a fabulous one! good show!! ("good soul"....!) more soul, more stevie wonders' and michael jacksons' this year and obviously he is singing with much more confidence this time. and i'm amazed by his dance performance in the last part. i've always been imagining his stage performances in adolescence and i'm lucky enough to see it this time. and he said he was just 11 when he last performed the same thing, haaaaaaaa. yes he looks awkward in mj's outfit but who caresssssssssssssss
UP! a very nice story with freaking great 3D and renderings. pixar rocks in cg but it's more about the story that i'm impressed with.. a journey in search of a secret wonderland by a lonely old man and a little scout who share completely different backgrounds.. both fulfilling each others' wishes in the end. i really like the floating house carried by balloons, and the act of letting go of the house and all the heavy stuff inside... i like this metaphorical use which is very direct and unreal which turns out to give a fascinating sense...
it's the first 3D animation that i would recommend ppl to watch, at least this time my eyes dun get tired

it now seems that i'm getting more careful in terms of being too conceptual ('overly-conceptual' like how caroline used to describe me). i m trying to avoid outrageous thoughts and ideas without achieving them architecturally. perhaps concepts and ideas are what make hku-archi notable lah, but in the worst case this is also called bullshitting, ha. umm maybe this year i should really learn to shut up and go straight into architecuture, space and details. that's why i'm fond of learning from the japanese leh
